Phi Theta Kappa Alpha Eta Tau
Operation Green is Phi Theta Kappa's International Service Program. Alpha Eta Tau's primary focus is to educate not only fellow students at Wallace Community College, but also to educate our community about keeping America beautiful and our communities clean. One way that we have promoted Operation Green in the past is by distributing litter bags at the Spring Fling. Our hope is that by providing people with litter bags, it will encourage them to put their trash in them instead of on the side of the road.
Another way we promote Operation Green is by setting up recycling bins around campus. We also participate in a program called Better World Books. This programs takes books that students no longer want and recycles them for other students to use. The Better World Books bin is located at the book store on campus.
